Lug-type design
The lug-type version of butterfly valves is pro vided with lugs, which are tapped to directly bolt them between flanges of a pipeline.

Butterfly valves with a monoflange body have a concentrically positioned flange with through holes.
Double flange design
Wafer-type design
The so-called wafer type is a butterfly valve which is clamped between two flanges of the pipeline by force, without being bolted directly to the pipe line.
